CPSU consultants have worked with colleagues in the NSPCC to refresh their elearning course about child protection in sport and physical activity.
The 3-hour online course provides a comprehensive introduction to safeguarding in sport and physical activity.
It is particularly suited to parents, officials, and everyone involved in sport and physical activity without direct responsibility for coaching children.
The training is also suitable for coaches wanting to undertake an introductory course before completing the required interactive trainer-led learning.
New course content
The course includes new film scenarios, interactive quizzes and reflective tasks as well as expert advice on:
- understanding your club or organisational responsibilities
- developing a child protection policy and procedures
- how to recognise child protection concerns
- how and when you should report concerns
