  • review regional mental health and wellbeing policies, strategies and interventions

Recommendations

  • strategy development will provide direction and a consistent approach for mental health and wellbeing in sport
  • resourcing the strategy to deliver training and resources to aid the development of the strategy
  • mental health and wellbeing awareness programmes will raise awareness and understanding
  • mental health and wellbeing officer roles - if governing bodies appoint to this role additional training may be required to develop skills appropriately 
  • integration of mental health and wellbeing into existing available networks
