Time to Listen training – multi-sport

Time to Listen is a 3-hour course for Club Welfare Officers (CWO). CWOs must have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop previously and will need to bring their own reporting procedures to the workshop.

This course will take place over three modules, each module will last approximately one hour (75 mins for module one). The course will use a virtual classroom to enable you to complete the course from home during the current pandemic.

Date: 26 November 2020, 6.30pm - 8.00pm and 3 December 2020, 6.30pm - 8.45pm (you must attend both sessions)

What’s covered

The workshop will:

  • describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child-centred environment
  • explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment
  • apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice
