Time to Listen is a 3-hour course for Club Welfare Officers (CWO). CWOs must have attended a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop previously and will need to bring their own reporting procedures to the workshop.
This course will take place over three modules. Each module will last approximately one hour (75 mins for module one). The course will use a virtual classroom to enable you to complete the course from home during the current pandemic.
Date: 06 May 2021, 6.30-9.30pm
Booking: please see Sport Structures booking page
The workshop will:
- describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centred environment
- explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment
- apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice
CPSU have developed this Time to Listen course for welfare officers, however it’s arranged and delivered by trained tutors from external organisations. If you have any enquiries in relation to the running of this particular session, please contact the organisation listed above.
