Last updated: 30 Jun 2025 Topics: Case management

This poster outlines which organisation you contact when reporting any safeguarding concerns in sport or physical activity.

If the child is immediate danger or they are injured, you immediately call the emergency services on 999.

If you are affiliated with a National Governing Body (NGB) you must refer to your NGB's safeguarding procedures for how to report the concern. You may wish to download our safeguarding reporting procedures flowchart

If you are an unaffiliated sports club or activity provider, you can seek support from your local Active Partnership or local statutory children's services. You can also contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000 or help@nspcc.org.uk who can offer you advice and can make referrals to the right organisations.
