Thank you for working with us throughout 2024

As we come to the end of the year, we wanted to say a big thank you for working with the CPSU and, more specifically, for helping to keep children safer in sport and physical activity.

What has happened in 2024?

  • Thousands of people visited our website, completed self-assessments and downloaded our resources almost 100,000 times.
  • We reached over 11 million with our Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport campaign via online media.
  • We launched a new LinkedIn channel to help engage more people who work in sport and physical activity sector and now have more than 2,200 followers.

Preparing for 2025 - training and professional development

  • 29 Jan ALL DAY - Designated safeguarding lead for sport and leisure - those who are new to the DSL role as well as those wanting to improve or check current practice. Suitable for any DSL working in the sport, physical activity or leisure organisation across England and Wales.
  • 05 Feb PM - Safeguarding for management board members - anyone who is a senior leader or holds a board member position in a sport, physical activity or leisure organisation across England or Wales.
  • 13 Feb ALL DAY - Safer sport events - It is suitable for anyone involved in events: people from education establishments, leisure facilities, community groups, charities, sports clubs and other activity organisers.
